Are my friends and family at risk?
Could I have given it to my family and friends?
You can't get Hepatitis C through kissing, hugging, touching or
sharing someone's coffee cup. Hepatitis C is a virus that is passed
on through contact with the blood of an infected person, commonly
referred to as blood to blood contact. In some
very rare circumstances it can be passed on in other bodily fluids,
for example during unprotected sex with a male partner who has a
HIV/HCV co-infection.
